Solar Integrated Roofing Corp., a comprehensive provider of solar energy, roofing, and electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has announced progress on two significant ventures within its family of companies.
The company’s Solar Gard roofing initiative is under the management of McKay Roofing, while the UCLA Medical Center – Olive View EV Charging Installation is being overseen by PLEMCo. Despite challenges posed by weather, the projects are moving forward effectively. “Even with rain delays, both projects are advancing well,” commented Mohammad Suri, Chief Operating Officer of SIRC. He highlighted material sourcing as a primary challenge but noted that their teams have successfully navigated these issues to achieve key milestones for clients.
Solar Gard Project Details
This undertaking involves applying a protective coating system on existing roofs, compliant with Title 24 standards and guaranteed for 20 years. It includes a dual-layer process, starting with a base coat followed by an acrylic layer with granules, enhancing the roof’s pedestrian safety for maintenance access. The project is expected to conclude in 6 to 8 weeks, weather-dependent.
UCLA Medical Center – Olive View EV Charging Project
Following the initial design phase, which included planning for 33 EV charging stations, PLEMCo has moved into the installation phase. This stage involves extensive groundwork, including saw cutting and trenching, followed by surfacing to restore the area. It also encompasses the electrical setup for the EV infrastructure, ensuring functionality through comprehensive testing, and includes ADA-compliant charging ports. The project has made significant progress, with the construction of infrastructure to support the chargers nearing completion and the entire project expected to finish by mid-June.
